From the Beginning
Plastic Surgery Associates UK, a distinguished Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Practice, was founded in 1989 by renowned Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr A.M. Awwad. Joining him was one of the world's leading experts in Medical Aesthetics, Anti-Ageing and Wellness Medicine, Aesthetic Nurse Specialist Practitioner Constance Campion – who was named one of Vogue Magazine’s top beauty secrets. The experts at PSA UK have now successfully guided, treated and supported thousands of patients for over three decades.
Together, they founded Medico Beauty in 1994. Using their collective experience and hands on clinical approach they developed the use of Non-Surgical Rejuvenation at their Kensington practice, The London Wellness Centre, as well as other Medical Aesthetic centres throughout the world.
In 2004, their eldest daughter Aysha Awwad was made Company Director and, in 2010, Camilla Campion-Awwad also joined the business to assist with the launch of an extensive online offering.
Over 30 years of experience in the business, combined with our technologically advanced products, means that we are able to provide you with the most innovative, skin health science available worldwide. COMPANY PILLARS
Many skincare products – even those claiming to be beneficial for ‘sensitive skin’ – in fact contain a number of irritating, synthetic ingredients, such as ‘exfoliators’ and ‘moisturisers’, which disrupt the skin’s natural processes. Such ingredients are not recognised by the skin’s natural thinking systems and are therefore interpreted by this intelligent organ as chemical invaders. Traditional 'exfoliation' and 'moisturising' are not anti-ageing or beneficial for the skin. Many of these treatments will inflame the skin, causing premature ageing. Furthermore, without our purified ingredients, such as our Chirally Correct Vitamin A, they will not be able to correct and resurface the skin intelligently.
Just because you might feel the strong effects of a cosmeceutical product on your skin doesn't mean that it is 'working better'. Such products don't necessarily do your skin any good: in fact, it's usually the reverse and often the astringent and harsh chemials in these products are actually causing your skin D A M A G E.
These cosmeceutical products might temporarily mask symptoms with short term fixes but they, in fact, also cause long term damage and strip the skin of its natural goodness: all without treating the underlying root causes of the problem.
Even though less irritating, without the cutting-edge, advanced science and formulation technology required ‘organic’, ‘natural’ or ‘simple’ products simply cannot communicate with the skin on a sophisticated cellular and molecular level. Without the necessary complex chemistry, these inferior ingredients cannot penetrate deeply through the skin’s many layers and they instead languish on the skin’s upper crust resulting in secondary complications.
